Planning
Parish Council response to Government White Paper: Planning for the Future. Earlier this year, the Government issued for consultation a White Paper called Planning for the Future. It contains proposals which would bring significant changes to the way in which planning for new homes (and other developments) is carried out in England. It proposes that Local Plans should identify three types of land – Growth areas suitable for substantial development; Renewal areas suitable for development; and areas that are Protected. It also suggests changes to how local communities are involved in the planning process, seemingly reducing community involvement and engagement and is unclear on the future role of Neighbourhood Plans. Responses from many types of organisation, including Parish Councils, were encouraged. Below you will see East Meon Parish Council's response.
